From the beginning of this process, we knew we wanted to have a “beta-test” of our space prior to our community day on May 5th. This school year marked the beginning of a valuable partnership between HHAI and a local secular school, Sycamore School. Students from their 8th grade class came to be the guinea pigs in our newly renovated space. Students and teachers from Sycamore School provided valuable feedback that we will use to tweak our museum as we head towards our community day. We are happy to say that the majority of what we heard was positive feedback and amazement at the work that had been done. Following their visit, we received the following words from the principal at Sycamore School:
”Once I find my words, I will write more. Today was a powerful experience that has left a positron indelible mark on each of our souls. Thank you for sharing your brilliance, creativity, truths, time, and talents with us. We are in awe.”

Students have been working so hard in the space as we head towards Pesach. The space is really beginning to come together and transform into the museum that we know will be the valuable resource we’ve always wanted. Students have been working so intently on their own projects, they haven’t had a chance to see what their classmates have been creating. Today, we allowed for a short walk-through of the museum so students could preview what their classmates have been working on. It was a great way for students to hear some critical feedback from their classmates.
